How to Prepare Steamables potatoes:
- Place unopened bag FRONT SIDE DOWN in the microwave. DO NOT pierce the bag.
- Microwave on HIGH for 8 to 9 Let stand for 1 minute.
- Carefully cut the bag open and pour the potatoes into a serving bowl.*
- Toss gently with butter and sprinkle with your favorite seasonings, such as rosemary, thyme, or parsley; add salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve and enjoy!
Non-microwave Preparation:
Steamables potatoes can also be removed from the steaming bag and cooked in any conventional manner such as boiling, roasting, baking or slow-cooker.
How to Prepare Steamables Sweet Potatoes:
- Place unopened bag FRONT SIDE DOWN in the microwave. DO NOT pierce the bag.
- Microwave on HIGH for 8 to 9 Let stand for 2 minutes.
- Carefully cut the bag open and pour the potatoes onto a serving dish.* Cut the sweet potatoes open lengthwise.
- Gently fluff or mash the sweet potato flesh with a fork, or scoop it out of the skin with a spoon. If desired, top with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, or your favorite seasoning.
- Serve and enjoy!
*Use caution when removing the bag from the microwave; the package will be HOT!
